The instability in Lillie's life when Papa went to Germany (not to mention a different person bringing them to work school and a new teacher in their classroom) started to show through in her behavior. So Mama and Papa put together "report cards" for her, and said that if she got 10 good report cards we'd take her to Birmingham's Vulcan statue (at her request!). Guess who was: sweet to her friends, minded her teacher and parents the first time, and used proper table manners for 10 days? :>)
Please tell Lillie that Grammie knows how hard she worked on this and that she is proud of her! xxxooo
